I'm Victoria and I am 18 years old. I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Surrey. Having sat my GCSEs and A levels recently, I have retained my knowledge especially as these subjects are still relevant to my current studies. Due to COVID, I am currently only tutoring online via the online classroom provided by TutorFinder, Zoom, Skype or Google Meets. I have experience tutoring my 15 year old cousin in Maths and English. Additionally, I have mentored students for Maths in the past.

During the first session, I would find out how much the student already knows, what level they are at currently, their goals and any problems they have with the subject.
First, I would go through the course with the student and ensure that they have covered all the course material. If they have not completed content, the student can make a choice to whether they would like to revise what they already know or continue learning more of the course. In every session, I will provide some topic based questions for them to answer. I would give them practice questions for homework which I will mark in my own time for the next session. I believe that completing past papers is really important to develop exam technique so as soon as most of the course has been covered thoroughly, we will complete papers. I am flexible with my approach to teaching so I am open to changing to suit the pupil's needs. We would be able to stop and go over particularly difficult parts of the course as needed.
