These terms and conditions are for the website Tutorfinder.co.uk which is owned and served by Tutorfinder Services Ltd registered in England & Wales under the company registration number 10592350.


These terms and condition can be changed at any time with the notice to all the members. (Students and Tutors). By registering on or using our Website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. (Please print or save these terms for future use as we will not keep a file copy specifically for the transaction with you and we cannot guarantee that they will remain accessible on our Website in future.) If you do not wish to be bound by these terms, you should not use the Website.

  • User Any person (Visitor, Client, Tutor or Student) who uses the Site.
  • Client Student, Parent, Guardian
  • Tutor A user who is offering educational services on the Site or applying to do so.
  • You/Your Can be Tutor or Users.
  1. Introduction

    We are the Tutoring agency which helps the students to finds tutors to book and pay for lesson either to get lesson online or face to face.

  2. Our rights & responsibilities
    1. To maintain a functional Website, including communication systems, a booking platform and payment processing.
    2. To communicate any planned maintenance of the Website or downtime and keep the site free from viruses and worms.
    3. To help Tutors and Students meet, by allowing Tutors to advertise their professional tuition services.
    4. To decide when a Tutor’s profile is sufficiently complete to be set live and be accessible by other Users.
    5. To reasonably endeavour to check the identity of all Tutors, and the DBS disclosures of Tutors with DBS Checked Status.
    6. To communicate new Bookings, confirmation of Bookings, and Cancellations, to both Students and Tutors via email.
    7. To process refunds promptly in the event that lessons do not take place, a Complaint is upheld and under the terms of our Money Back Guarantee.
    8. To process each Student’s payments on behalf of the Tutor promptly and usually within 7 days of a lesson when there is no Complaint.
    9. To investigate Complaints to a reasonable degree by promptly informing Students and Tutors of issues raised and allowing them to represent themselves by email.
    10. To take precautions we consider reasonable to protect Student’s and Tutor’s information.
    11. To monitor postings made on the Website and messages sent between Students and Tutors. We do so in the hope of helping Students and Tutors meet, but also to stop misuse of the site, as set out in these terms and conditions.
  3. Responsibilities

    These responsibilities set on all the user whether they registering with us or not

    1. User responsibility
      1. Users are responsible for their own security in conjunction with our services, both online and offline.
      2. Users must immediately report any defamatory, offensive or illegal material they view on our Website.
      3. Users are responsible for their own internet security when using the Website.
      4. Users agree to abide by the Privacy Policy provided through the Website.
      5. Any User who fails to meet these terms and conditions may be barred from using the Website and related services.
      6. Users are solely responsible for the material they post on the Website, including messages sent, and must not post defamatory, offensive or illegal material.
      7. Users must contact us immediately if they believe their password has been compromised. Users will be responsible for the actions of any interactions conducted in their name until they have notified us.
      8. Users must exercise their own judgement regarding the accuracy of information provided on the Website. We cannot guarantee that all of the content on the Website is complete, accurate or up-to-date.
      9. Users must not use the Website with the intention of disintermediating us in any way. Users must not promote opportunities or services of any company other than us.
      10. We take no responsibility for the actions of Students or Tutors and is solely responsible for its own actions.
    2. Student or client responsibility
      1. Client must be 18 years old to book a Tutor for themselves or be represented by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 18 who gives consent for them to receive tuition. Students must ensure that all of their personal details and contact information are accurate and up-to-date. We are not responsible for any dispute regarding parental consent.
      2. Client have up to 24 hours before their first Lesson with a Tutor is due to commence to confirm the booking. To confirm a booking, Students must enter valid payment details on our Website.
      3. Client must ensure that they have given enough information to the Tutor, including their correct address, to allow the Lesson to take place. If a Lesson is to take place at the Student’s home, the Student must ensure a suitable setting for tuition.
      4. Client must use their own judgement about the services of Tutors detailed on the Website. Students are responsible for checking the credentials, expertise, references, qualifications and insurance policies of any Tutor with whom they confirm a booking.
      5. Client agree that there will be no attempts to disintermediate us in any way, either at the time of booking or at any point in future and that all future Lessons with a Tutor found through the Website will be booked through us.
      6. When a confirmed booking exists, Students must ensure that they have a valid debit/credit card registered on our Website, with sufficient funds to cover the bookings they have confirmed.
      7. When a booking is confirmed, Students enter directly into a contract with the Tutor. The terms and conditions within this document cover all interaction between the Students and Tutors
      8. Client must not pay the Tutor directly. All payments must be made through our Website.
      9. Client is responsible for checking that Lessons booked by Tutors on their behalf are done so correctly and understand they will be informed of these Lessons by email, SMS and through the Website only.
      10. Any Client who fails to meet these Terms and Conditions may be immediately barred from using the Website and related services. We reserve the right to cancel any existing bookings.
    3. Tutor responsibility
      1. Tutors are not employees of us and are solely responsible for their own actions both on and off the Website.
      2. Tutors must disclose any criminal convictions, cautions and pending court proceedings they may have to us.
      3. Tutors claiming DBS Checked Status must upload a valid copy of the DBS.
      4. Tutors must be at least 18 years old and legally entitled to work in the UK.
      5. Tutors are responsible for ensuring that the personal information they provide and their personal statements on the Website is accurate and in no way misleading. They must update this information to maintain its accuracy.
      6. If Tutors contact Students who are under 18, they must ensure that these learners are represented by a parent or legal guardian who gives consent for the Student to receive tuition
      7. Tutors must use their own judgement about whether they wish to offer their tuition services to each individual Student or group of students. Tutors should take every precaution to ensure that they work in a safe environment and are responsible for their own insurance policies to cover the work they undertake.
      8. Tutors are responsible for setting their own fee.
        Tutors must not undercut us, therefore, offer a fee which is as good as that offered to other Students outside of our website. Tutors must not knowingly charge a fee which is not in line with their level of expertise or experience.
      9. Tutors agree that they will be ranked based on a mixture of profile data (Qualification & Experience), Student ratings and number of lessons taught. Positive Student ratings prompt messaging, repeat bookings and a greater amount of lessons taught will contribute to tutors being ranked higher on our search engine results.
      10. Tutors should confirm bookings and respond to messages received from us and Users promptly.
      11. Tutors must only book Lessons in accordance with the instructions of their Students. If Tutors book additional Lessons which they fail to deliver, they will be liable to repay any funds received as a result.
      12. Tutors must not complete coursework, or any similar assignments, on behalf of Students.
      13. Tutors shall indemnify us for all claims and liabilities arising out of any use by the Tutor of the Website, including costs and expenses incurred.
      14. Tutors must ensure that all written communication with Students takes place on the Website.
      15. Any lessons given to a Student found via our website must be booked on and paid for using our website.
      16. Tutors should make no attempts to solicit Students or disintermediate us in any way, either at the time of booking or at any point in future. Tutors will be charged £100 and banned from using our portal at least 3 months
      17. Any Tutor who fails to meet these Terms and Conditions may be immediately blocked from using the Website and related services. We reserve the right to cancel any existing bookings, at any time.
      18. Tutor must not disclose any personal contact detail (Email, Contact number, Address) in the headline or personal statement section during profile creation or after approval of profile to go live, if we found at any stage we have right to block tutor with the immediate effect.
  4. Protection and use of information
    1. We will not sell your email address.
    2. We do not handle or store payment card details.
    3. We may store all the information exchanged by the user using our messaging forum. This will only be for maintaining and improving our services.
    4. We store, use and remove all your personal information, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
    5. We may store information about you using cookies on your system. You may delete these cookies from your browser setting, but this will result in your having to re-enter the data.

  5. Intellectual Property
    1. The Tutorfinder name and logo is the property of Tutorfinder Services Ltd and may not be copied or distributed without consent.
    2. When submitting material on our website, Students and Tutors also grant a non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-terminable licence to copy, modify, distribute, show in public and create derivative works from that material.
  6. Liabilities
    1. Tutors are not employees and are responsible for their own conduct and behaviour both on and off the Site.
    2. Tutorfinder.co.uk provides links to external sites but has no control and is not responsible for the content of those sites.
    3. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from either any error or inaccuracy in statements made on the website by you or any other User or any negligence, breach of contract, misrepresentation or willful misconduct connected to the use of the Site or the sale of educational services by any User.
  7. Payment and cancellation
    1. Fee payable by the students or clients will be set out by the tutor’s profile page and confirmed at the time of paying.
    2. Price includes any applicable VAT.
    3. Clients authorise us to charge the debit/credit card within 24 hours of making payment.
    4. Tutors agree us to charge them 15%-25% commission from the lesson price they put it on their profile.
    5. We process the payment to the tutor every Friday for the last finished week.
    6. Client may cancel a booking up to 24 hours before a lesson. And the entire charged amount will be refunded to the client without any admin fee.
    7. If the lesson does not take place because the client does not show up, the client wouldn’t get claim any refund.
    8. If the lesson does not take place because of tutor’s unexpected circumstances, the full amount will be refunded to the client, and the client has to notify us within the 24 hours after the lesson timing.
    9. If the client is not happy with the tutor’s lesson, Client will get a full refund of the lesson, but the client has to notify us within the 48 hours of the lesson finish time.
    10. All the refund to the client will be made with the mutual understanding between the client and the tutor, and we’ll investigate with the tutor and client.
    11. Any missed lesson because of tutor unexpected circumstances can be rescheduled with the tutor at no extra cost.
