About Charlotte E

English Tutor up to secondary

I am an enthusiastic lover of English, with an honours degree in English Literature, covering everything from modernism to Shakespeare, and am currently working my way towards a PGCE qualification in order to teach English in secondary school! On a professional level, I spent the last year working with two children, ages eight and eleven. The elder child I assisted in preparation for the 11+ exams - and she received offers of placement in all five schools she applied for! The younger of the two I spent the majority of the lockdown period assisting in home schooling, meaning I had a hands on look at the way classes were run online, helping with both grammar and comprehension, as well as working on reading literacy. Whatever help in English your child requires, and whatever level or adaptability you might need from me, I am more than ready to help your get to where they need to be!
